Privacy matters to us

DropResearchHub is a UK-focused product research membership for ecommerce entrepreneurs. We only aim to collect information that is useful, necessary, or required to provide and protect the service.

1. Who we are

DropResearchHub (“DRH”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates the website and member platform available at dropresearchhub.com.

For privacy questions, you can contact us through the details on our Contact page.

Note: This privacy policy is written for the current DRH platform and should be reviewed as the business grows, adds new providers, or changes how member data is handled.

We may collect and process the following types of information:

Account details
Name, email address, login information, account status, trial status and subscription status.
Billing details
Subscription plan, payment status, Stripe customer reference, invoice/payment records and cancellation status. Full card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by DRH.

Messages you send to us, including your contact details and the content of your enquiry.
Technical data
IP address, browser type, device information, session data, cookies, approximate location data and website performance/security logs.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • create, manage and secure your DRH account;
  • provide access to the member platform, dashboard, product research pages and analysis tools;
  • process free trials, paid subscriptions, renewals, cancellations and billing events;
  • send service emails such as welcome messages, account updates, product drop notifications and subscription notices;
  • respond to support requests and business enquiries;
  • improve the website, product research experience and member workflow;
  • detect abuse, prevent fraud and protect the security of the platform;
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory responsibilities.

4. Our lawful bases for processing

Under UK data protection law, we rely on different lawful bases depending on how the information is used:

  • Contract: to provide your account, trial, subscription and member access.
  • Legitimate interests: to improve the service, keep the platform secure, manage support and understand how DRH is used.
  • Consent: where required for optional marketing communications or non-essential cookies.
  • Legal obligation: where we need to keep records for tax, accounting, fraud prevention or compliance reasons.

5. Third-party services we use

DRH uses trusted third-party providers to operate the platform. These providers only receive information needed to perform their service.

Vercel
Website hosting, deployment and serverless API hosting.
Supabase
User accounts, database storage and member/product data.
Stripe
Payments, subscription billing, invoices, trials, renewals and cancellation events.
Resend
Transactional and service emails such as welcome messages and product drop notifications.
Anthropic Claude API
AI-assisted product research generation and analysis support. We aim not to send unnecessary personal data to AI services.
Research data providers
Product, supplier or trend enrichment services where used to support DRH research outputs.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we expect appropriate safeguards to be used by the provider.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website working, remember sessions, protect accounts, understand performance and improve the platform.

Some cookies are essential for the service to work. Other cookies, such as analytics or marketing cookies, should only be used where permitted by law and your preferences.

More detail is available in our Cookie Policy.

7. AI-assisted research

DropResearchHub uses AI-assisted workflows to help generate product research, market commentary, validation notes, analysis summaries and related ecommerce insights.

AI outputs may be generated using product information, public market signals, supplier data, trend data and platform prompts. We do not aim to use personal customer information to generate product research unless it is necessary for a feature you request.

Important: DRH product research is for educational and research purposes. It should not be treated as a guarantee of sales, profit, supplier quality, ad performance or business success.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, manage your account, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

  • Account records are usually kept while your account remains active.
  • Billing and invoice records may be kept for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Support messages may be kept for a reasonable period to help manage future queries.
  • Technical logs may be kept for security, troubleshooting and platform performance.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information using secure hosting, restricted access, reputable service providers and appropriate technical controls.

No online service can guarantee complete security. You should keep your login details private and contact us if you suspect unauthorised account access.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on the situation, you may have rights to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of your data;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
